Liz Going On

I had a fab weekend last weekend. And the next one is almost here! Hurrah! But after that I’ve got to work two weekends in a row, so I’m sure I won’t be so joyous then. Anyway…

Friday night Andrew took me to the Market resturant (in the northern quarter) for dinner to celebrate exam passing. We were a bit late (Andrew got sucked into work things, humph) but thankfully they only do one sitting. Its a really quaint resturant with design inspired from the 1940s. There’s 6 items on each bit of the menu and they change it every couple of weeks. The food was absolutley amazing. I had cauliflour soup then lamb with houmous. Mmmmm. I got confused and ordered a thirty quid bottle of wine! Oops. But it was lovely (and I’m worth it!). When we came to pay Andrew realised that he’d not bought any money or cards so I ended up paying. I was tempted to just pay for my half then run away and leave him to do the washing up, but decided to be kind!

I headed to Shrewsbury to see Mum, Gordon and Kristie. We went for a celebratory Sunday lunch. It was really nice to spend time relaxing at Mum’s house and to see G and K. Actually I didn’t do that much relaxing as I made some fancy dress costumes for this weekend…. But it was fun!

Bank Holiday Monday was filled with shopping. I love long weekends. Mum and I headed to Shrewsbury. We were planning to park on the street, as normally sundays and bank holidays are free. But it wasn’t! We saw over 10 cars with parking tickets, cos they thought it was free to. Bastard council!

But despite paying for parking the shopping trip was good. I bought jeans, four tops, some undies and stuff from wilkos. Mum bought many clothes and a bathroom. Yes, a bathroom suite. Borth needs a new one (as the current one is from the 1970s and is bright yellow. I quite like the yellow to be honest, but supposedly it needs changing). Thankfully we didn’t have to carry the bathroom stuff. It’ll be delivered to Borth in due time.

And now its thurdsay.

I got the job. The six year training post in Manchester.

What a good week, exam passing and job getting. Chuffed to bits.

Nobody is blogging at the moment.

I blame facebook. Its eating everyone’s time. I do love facebook but I love blogging too.

Worked the night shift last night, was ok. Don’t really like nights and have quite a lot coming up over the next few weeks. Sigh.

Waiting for job offers. Really hope I’ve got a good one. Still don’t really quite believe I’ve passed the exam and actually know enough to pass! I’ll probably never know as much as I do this week.

Have a nice bank holiday weekend

Today I’m doing nothing. Its ace. I had a lie in and now I’m playing with the internet and watching telly. I may even have a nap soon, as I expect that the night shift will be really busy.

I recieved a glass in the post today. At new year I bought some recycled wine glasses made from old wine bottles. Sadly the bottom fell off one of them, so I emailed the company to ask how to repair it. They said it was a secret formula and sent me a replacement glass instead. Which is very nice of them indeed.

I went to London.

I took the exams, three of them.

I passed! Hurrah!

I got drunk in London and then on the train.

I still fell hungover.

I am very very very happy. All I need now is a job! 

While wandering through Lovely Levenshulme we went to the polish shop.  They sell many brands of coffee.

Including Maxwell House Smak.

Cup of smak anyone? hear its got quite a kick! 

I’m off to London village soon. Its for the exam. Eeek. Don’t want to go.

I had something funny to blog about and now I can’t remember what it was.

Grrrr. 

I’m totally addicted to stalkerbook. It sucks my time away and eats it for dinner. But its so much fun!

My supplies for glastonbury have arrived. Wellies. Sleeping bag. Camping mat. Full waterproof clothing. Hurrah!

Revision is going ok. Mostly. Exam is scarily close (tuesday). If they ask me the right questions then I shall pass. If they don’t then I won’t.

I’ve just had cottage cheese curry for tea and it was ace. Strange but true.

Here endeth the randomness from my mind. 

From my site statistics I’ve just found out that if you google ‘Liz is grumpy’ then I’m the fourth hit. Oops. I’d rather be known for ‘Liz is great’ or ‘Liz is a wonderful friend’ but sadly its ‘Liz is grumpy’ that gets me fastest. And I guess I’m just propergating it but writing a post about it, but it made me laugh more than anything else today so though I should share it with you all.

At the moment I’m not grumpy. Liz is happy.
