Flaming boobs/Liz is grumpy

Hurrah! I’m no longer the number 1 hit when googling ‘Liz is grumpy’.

Bugger. Expect I’ll now be the number one hit again…. Oh well! you’ve got to be famous for something.

Also people keep finding my blog by googling ‘flaming boobs’. Tee hee hee. I’m not sure which page its on as its not in the first 10 results and I can’t be bothered wading through more.

Thankfully my boobs haven’t flamed for a while.

Too long!

Oh golly, I’ve not blogged for ages, and so much has happened.

Firstly glastonbury.

It was ace. My favourite things were in the cabaret and circus fields. My least favourite thing was driving home in the pouring rain through the night and being covered in mud.

I saw.  Four poofs and a piano

The Coral

Lily Allen

The Who

Super Furry Animals

The Go! Team

The Noisettes

A naked man juggling a chainsaw

A kazoo marching band

Nizlopi

Mark Thomas

Marcus Beigstock

Barry Cryer

Mitch Benn

Tony Benn

The Waterboys

The National Youth Orchestra

I had reflexology and my astrology charted. I drank a lot of wine and cider and perry. I walked miles in the mud. I learnt to pee standing up. I ate free food from the Hare Krishner people. I got very wet. I sat in a river of mud (on a chair thankfully). I helped a girl who had taken too many drugs who was dancing on her side lying in the mud. Much fun was had by all.

Other things.

I saw Jocelyn and played the piano (badly!), sang (loudly) and played bongos (ferociously!), though I might have mentioned that in my last post, I can’t remeber.

I know a little more where I’m going to be working in August, and it should be a nice place.

I’m off on holiday to Ireland on Saturday, and I’m really looking forward to a nice relaxing time.

My house is covered in mud and smells like a wet tent (not surprisingly really). I have put things in the washing machine that I didn’t realised could be washed, like wellies and all sorts of camping equpitment.

And now I’m going to the hairdresser.

However it feels ages since I’ve seen my friends properly (expect the glastonbury people, but I didn’t really see much of them as we were all doing different things). I’ve not seen Paula or Kate for what seems like months (and may actually be months in the case of Paula). Work is ok, but I seem to have to do too many on calls. I miss my friends. Also mum is in Canada, so I miss her and there’s stuff I really need to talk to her about, and she gets back when I’m away! Sigh! And it was Gordon’s birthday last weekend and Kristie’s this weekend and I’ve got neither of them presents (but have managed to send cards on time).

There are pleanty of more things I should have done, but writing a list of them is 1) not getting them done 2) boring for you and 3) depressing for me. Think I’ll go and eat lunch instead.

Twice in two days

So whats new? Not much. Was at work today, which was quite fun surprisingly.

Now I’m watching telly and drining wine, nice.

There’s pleanty I should be doing, but I’m not. It feels naughty, but good to be a bit rebellious!

Guilty as charged

I’m now guilty of blog neglect.

I’d like to argue its cos I’ve been working too hard. I did nights over the weekend, which involved an extra long shift and an ambulance trip to Leeds when I really wanted to go home. But I do get a half day off for the extra three hours work I did after my night shift should have finished, which will be nice. I’ve got nights next weekend too. Grump. But then its glastonbury.

Anything else interesting? I don’t think so I’m afraid. I still love stalkerbook and spend far too much time on it. I want more free time to be able to see friends I’ve neglected. And now I’ve got a job I want to know where it is and what weekends I’m working as August really isn’t that far away.

I have the tickets!

Now its time to tidy the house!!!

Captive

I was meant to be playing tennis with Debbie right now. However I recieved a text to say that my glastonbury tickets are being delivered today, so I’ve got to stay captive as they need a signature. Boring!  If they don’t arrive today I won’t be pleased.

I’m not at work till tomorrow night, although I have work like things to do, and then I’m working the weekend, which also sucks. But I’ve not worked a weekend for about 7 weeks, so I shouldn’t really complain.

My brother and his wife moved into their new house this week. That is very exciting. I want to see it, but they have no internet access so can’t post any photos yet.

I think we have come to an agreement on the rabbit toliet problem. They’re not using where I’d like them to go, but it certainly is better than were they were going before (ie, everywhere). Comprimise is a good thing!

More weekend fun

It was another ace weekend. I’m sure the next two won’t be so much fun as I’m being nocturnal at work, eek. Anyway….

We went to Saddleworth for the band contest and beer walk. Jocelyn explains all about the band contest here (go read. Its really interesting. But then come back and read the rest of this please!). We were in Dobcross for the band contest, which was really good (although I only saw the standing still stuff, next year I want to be at Friezland to watch the countermarching).

Saturday was the beerwalk. It was lots of fun. Ten miles, ten cans of bitter and 1500 people. I managed to convince quite a few of my friends to come and walk and it was ace! I’ll certainly do it again next year. Mahinda and co were the village people and kindly collected £13.91 and 1 euro cent for our charity (MS research). I don’t know how much we collected, but it wasn’t much as I didn’t fancy carrying round ten quid worth of pennies for ten miles! Photos are on facebook (where life is at the moment).

Sunday I hurt, so I spent a lot of it with my eyes closed lying in a darkened room! Andrew’s parents were very understanding!

Work is good at the moment too. I’m doing maternity anaesthetics. Learning lots and really enjoying it. Plus its really good to be ‘post exams’.

Liz is happy!
