Chocolate milkshake

I love my diet chocolate milkshakes.  Of course I love food more, but I suspect I will love being thin even more. I now fit into the clothes I like and are smaller. Hurrah! The diet would be near impossible if I wasn’t allowed diet coke or coffee!

I am fed up of rushing and being late. I want to take things easy, however I fear that its not meant to be. Trouble is its external influences causing me to have to rush and be late.

Tonight I have a nice night in. Next week is very busy as choir is restarting, which I’m looking forward to a lot, but the combination of committee meetings, choir and on call makes Liz rather busy.

Holiday happiness

So after my weekend of nights I had a lovely week off.

On Monday I changed my mobile contract, bought a new phone as a diet success treat and headed to Shrewsbury to see Mum. Tuesday was filled with shopping and picture taking and walking in the local national trust property’s grounds. It was really nice. I got a bargain in the monsoon sale.

Wednesday was car day. Mum and I braved the garages and went test driving. Mum’s ended up with a really nice (and super fast!) VW golf. I want it! But could never afford to insure it myself. Wednesday evening I went to visit Fiona. The rest of the week was really busy but lots of fun…

In summary of my week off.

Places visited = 11 (Shrewsbury, Much Wenlock, Kendal, Ulverston, Carnforth, Littleborough, York, Saddleworth, Buxton, Bolton and Fornby)

Glasses of wine drunk = 1.5 (not drinking on current diet, so I got tipsy fast!)

Miles driven = 700, approx

Friends seen = 7 (Fiona, Paula, Emily, Ian, Janey, Jocelyn, Rachel)

Miles walked = 16 (approximatly, over a few days)

Photographs taken = 92 (not all on facebook)

It was quite a busy week.

I was back at work today. It wasn’t too busy and I learnt stuff, which is always good. Now I’m sat on the sofa watching old ER on dvds and its lovely.

Cured by work…

Busy night last night.  I managed to get about 45 minutes rest but lovely Andrew managed to phone me in the middle of it. Cheers.  But the bizarre thing is that at 3am I started to feel better. Which is good.

Need to pack for week off , but wife swap has just come onto telly. Dilemma.

Diet is going well. I’ve almost lost 2.5 stone. Pleanty more to go, but I’ll keep going till its done.

Feeling sorry for myself

I’m poorly and on nights.  I have a headache, sorethroat, I feel sick and ache allover. I suspect I have a temprature too. But sadly I don’t feel poorly enough to not go to work. Pah.

Rubbish.

Only two night to go then I’ve got a week off. Bring it on.

Skipping along

This week has gone really fast.  It could be because work hed been really busy, stressful but everything worked out ok in the end (ie, nobody died apart from quite a few people looking like they might….). I’ve had a lie in this morning and it was amazing, I was so tired. But I’m working nights this weekend, which is quite scary but I’m sure I’ll cope after this week’s wide range of expereince.

On Wednesday night I saw Hairspray at the cinema. It was lovely and beautiful, and I want my life to be a musical too. I want to burst into song at every opportunity. And I want to dance too, but mainly sing! I’m really glad that its almost september as that means its time for choir again. Woooop.

Latest verdict on new school. I like it. Phew.

Latest adventures… Many.

Last friday night was Sand bar night. And for the first time in ages everybody was out. There were 14 of us in total. It was great to catch up with everyone. Friends are ace!

Last Saturday was The museam of film and television (in Bradford), which was really interesting and it was a nice day out with Nick, who is always pleasant company and Andrew, who of course I love dearly!

Last Sunday was ‘getting things done’. I visited Kate and saw some of her nice new clothes and went to John Lewis and Ikea. I’m not sure why I do to Ikea once a year as I really do hate the place, but I can’t seem to avoid it! Thankfully it wasn’t too busy.

My diet continues to go well. I’ve lost over two stone now, still have pleanty to go but I’m back at a weight that I’m happy at. I’ve put all my clothes that are too big away (again!) and I now fit into the clothes I like. Hopefully they’ll get too big soon too!!!  And hopefully even more I’ll be able to stick at it.

Damn I’ve just looked at the time and I’m meant to be leaving for the dentist and I’m still in my pyjamas! Oops! And I was really enjoying blogging. Oh well.

Good and bad

At new school I don’t do one night a week like I endured in old school. This means less random days off (=bad) but more routeine (=good). I like routeine, it makes me happy, but I’m not so happy with having to get up at 8am each day. So you win some and you lose some.  I think I’ll appreciate days off a lot more.

My diet is going better this week. Last week I wanted to eat all the time. But this week its far easier. Why? I haven’t a clue, but I’m really glad its easier. I hope it stays like this, as there’s a long way to go.

My blog is boring. I think I need to have some adventures…..

Rabbit madness

I have an emmotionally disturbed bunny.

Beryl bites and growls. Its really not pretty and not ladylike at all. She’s done it twice now. I think it is when I’ve taken her Reggie away from her (ie, picked him up to bring him inside for some love and strokes). She’s never liked being picked up but has always liked beign stroked. But now she’s really agressive and has very sharp teeth.

Any rabbit psychologists out there? Any ways to tame my frenzied pet rabbit?

Dear John,

I’ve been writing letters tonight. I love writing letters and I love recieving things in the post. However with exams and busyness and stuff letters became a low priority. But tonight I’ve written three and feel really happy. Its great.

In other news today I chose tiles. What an exciting and rock star lifestyle I lead!!! I cleaned my house and mourned my cleaner. I want her back, she was ace. And then I cleaned Andrew’s house, which I was particularly thrilled about!

Diet is going ok. Its not too bad for a diet. Not dieting at all is certainly better, but losing weight is nice. I’ve not had any alcohol for almost three weeks now. When I do have something I suspect I’ll fall over on one glass. Not sure when that’ll be though.

School tomorrow. And everyday this week, with late finishes on tuedsay and thursday. As much as I never thought I’d say this I’m really going to miss my random night shifts with days off in the middle of the week.
