Shhh, I’m busy.

I’ve not forgotten about this. I’ve been busy.

I wrote a long post a couple of weeks ago, but the formatting went crazy and it made the whole blog BOLD (it wasn’t quite a odd as the kermit green blog incident, but close). And then I got in a little sulk and decided not to blog for a while.

At the moment I’m revising. A lot. Which is good as it increases chances of exam passing.  Last week I revised at the seaside, which certainly beats revising in Manchester.  Next week I’m revising at night, while tending to the pregnant ones.

I have managed some fun. My cousin Emily came to visit. She’s ace and I love her lots.  I watched my mum fly a plane and I ate chineese food and pubcrawled.  I’ve walked the coast and sung a bit too.

But mostly its been work and revision.

Normal service will resume shortly. I hope.

Why?

Why do I still look at Mahinda’s blog despite the fact that its not been updated for a year?

Why is revising so soul destroying? No matter what you know, there’s always more to be learnt.

Why couldn’t I sleep at work last night or today during the day?

Why is trying to buy and sell a house so stressful?  Can’t it just happen…

Why no matter how much I learn am I rubbish at True/False MCQ questions?

Why do I like blogging? Isn’t it just like hanging my dirty washing in public…

Why am I scared of renting my house out?

Why am I wasting my time blogging when I should be revising?

Why am I writing in questions today?

I’m not sure I know which text book to look in for the answers….

Blog holiday

I’ve been trying to blog for a few days, but my blog has been hiding.  But its back now, I googled ‘Liz Is Grumpy’ to find it.

I’ve been a littel grumpy recently, but nothing compared to days of old.

There seems a lot going on at the moment. I feel like I’m juggling many balls.  But busy is good, on the whole.

The thing I was going to blog about last time was my trip to the blood centre.  Andrew wanted to give blood, and didn’t like the thought of it, so I went with him. I’ve given 15 pints so far and it never bothers me (except the time I decided it was a good idea to cycle home after donating… I fainted in the middle of the street! Oops!). Andrew and I booked in and were taken into seperate rooms for the chat and finger prick bit.  I did mine, and then went to wait as I was told to.

But then there was an almighty commotion, Andrew had fainted. At the fingerprick bit, bless. There were bloodnurses running around and getting in a flap. They called me over to see him, and he was very grey and sweaty and looked ghastly. Poor thing.  He sat quietly, I gave blood and then I took him back to work and stayed with him until he was less grey and more human (this took a while).  I don’t think Andrew is designed to part with his blood.

Revision is mostly going well, but there seems to be so much of it to get through. This week has been labeled ‘anatomy week’ so I need to start learning lots of boring anatomy. Five weeks till the exam. AArgggg. The nightmares have started already.

Andrew has been a star and fixed the bathroom leak. Water no longer comes into the kitchen. Hurrah! And we’re painting the bathroom green. Why green? Well, why not! The choice of colours is limited, as we’re using masonary paint (as it needs to be very waterproof) and white is so boring. So its green!

And I’m hoping to move house soon. But housebuying and selling is never an easy task. As things are up in the air I shall tell you more if you ask or when things are more concrete (which will probably only happen when and if contracts are exchanged). I’m not entirely sure that moving house mid exams is the best idea ever, but dreamhouses don’t appear for sale every day.

I think I have lots of other things to waffle about, but I need to learn the anatomy of the lumbar plexus, so I’m afraid you’ll have to wait for my next installment.
